  • Browsing data automatically collected via technical cookies necessary for the website to function (WordPress, Elementor).
  • Data collected through Brevo’s (Sendinblue) marketing automation script, which recognizes visitors and tracks interactions with the website and our email communications.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Responding to partnership requests and providing quotes and information about our Destination Management services in Italy.
  • Sending newsletters and marketing communications, subject to consent, about travel proposals, news, and updates.
  • Managing the list of registered partners and travel advisors and related communications.
  • Improving the browsing experience and analyzing the effectiveness of our email communications through Brevo.
  • Complying with legal obligations.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Consent of the data subject (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) for newsletter subscription and marketing/tracking cookies.
  • Performance of pre-contractual/contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) for managing partnership and quote requests.
  • Legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) for website security purposes and abuse prevention.

5. Processing Methods and Data Retention

Data is processed using IT and telematic tools, with methods and measures suitable to ensure its security and confidentiality. Data collected through the website forms is retained for as long as necessary to handle the request and, in the case of newsletter subscription, until consent is withdrawn by the user. In the absence of further interactions, data will in any case not be retained for more than 24 months from the last contact, unless otherwise required by law.

6. Recipients and Data Processors

The data collected may be shared with third parties acting as data processors, including:

  • Brevo SAS (Sendinblue) – email marketing, marketing automation, and transactional communication platform, based in France (EU).
  • The website’s hosting provider.

These parties process data solely on behalf of the Data Controller, under a written agreement and in compliance with the GDPR.

7. Data Transfers to Third Countries

The providers used by the Data Controller for data processing are based in the European Union (Brevo SAS, France). Should a transfer of data to non-EU countries become necessary in the future, such transfer will take place on the basis of appropriate safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Cookies

  • Technical cookies: necessary for the website to function properly (session management, security, storing preferences). These do not require prior consent.
  • Marketing and tracking cookies: the website uses Brevo’s (Sendinblue) Marketing Automation script to recognize visitors and track interactions with our email communications. These cookies are activated only with user consent.

10. International Users (United States and Australia)

As Intertravel DMC primarily serves travel agencies and travel advisors in the United States and Australia, please note that:

  • California residents, where applicable, may be entitled to rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
  • Users in Australia may be entitled to rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APP).
